2nd Year In-Country Candidate! Selina is a 23-year-old qualified Physical Therapist with experience in special needs care and over 5,000 hours of childcare experience. She is currently in NJ caring for 3 host children, including one with cerebral palsy. Her background includes working with children diagnosed with Down syndrome, Turner syndrome, developmental delays, spina bifida, and cerebral palsy. Growing up in a large family with four siblings, Selina has developed a natural ability to connect with and care for children of all ages. She describes herself as open-minded, creative, and responsible, bringing a thoughtful and engaging approach to her work. In her free time, Selina enjoys walking her dog, reading, swimming, and staying active at the gym. With three years of driving experience, along with a NJ DL, she is confident transporting children and navigating challenging weather conditions. Nia is a 22-year-old Educator from with professional experience working with children from infancy through adolescence in nurseries, kindergartens, schools, and a children’s home. She has also worked in a Montessori daycare center and gained experience supporting children with physical disabilities, giving her a well-rounded understanding of different developmental needs and learning styles. Her patient, caring, adaptable approach allows her to create supportive environments where children can build confidence, develop independence, and learn through engaging, age-appropriate activities. Having lived and worked in several countries, including six months in Thailand, Nia is open-minded and comfortable adapting to new cultures and routines. Trinity is a 22 year old Physical Therapist with a strong passion for helping people improve their mobility, independence, and quality of life. During her training, she gained extensive medical and hands-on experience and discovered that working with children is one of the most rewarding aspects of her profession. She has worked with children with orthopedic conditions as well as autism and ADHD, adapting her therapeutic approach to each child's individual personality, abilities, and needs. Trinity particularly enjoys combining therapy with play to create engaging experiences that help children build confidence, develop new skills, and become more independent.
