Providing Parents with a Plan for Success

Parents collaborate with Susie Goodwin because she equips her clients with a practical plan to create a family culture where everyone’s needs are met, including the adults. When a child’s behavior impacts the entire family in ways that are concerning or disruptive, she helps parents understand that “fixing” their child won’t work.

Her coaching offers parents effective strategies to support their child using neurodiverse affirming care at home and in social and educational environments. She supports parents in navigating the journey to become the parents they want to be, to help them discover who their children are, and how to create extraordinary relationships.

Get to Know Susie Goodwin

Susie Goodwin shares her personal journey as a parent of children with multiple diagnoses, highlighting her commitment to collaborating with other families to create successful strategies. After years of navigating challenges with her son’s sensory integration disorder, autism, and mood disorder, as well as her daughter’s ADHD, she reflects on their eventual independence and the strong relationships they now enjoy.

Feeling isolated and overwhelmed at times, Susie realized that nurturing her relationship with her son was more important than trying to “fix” him. With a background in education and coaching, she developed unique parenting strategies that honor each child’s gifts rather than focusing solely on behavioral challenges. Through her practice, Miracles in Parenting, she aims to help families build harmonious relationships, ensuring every member feels valued and understood.
