Kelsey Brown, SLP | Empowering Individuals of All Ages to Achieve Their Communication Goals

Are you looking for a speech-language pathologist (SLP) who knows augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), emergent literacy, and gestalt language processing? Kelsey Brown, M.S., CCC-SLP celebrates all brains and bodies in her neurodiversity-affirming, family-centered practice.

Individual Speech and Language Therapy Services:

She offers in-person and virtual speech and language services specializing in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) use, emergent literacy, and gestalt language processing. For students within her service area in DC, Maryland, and Virginia, hybrid services are also available (I.e., 1 in-person session and 3 teletherapy sessions per month). Sessions will be individualized based on your young person’s interests and goals. All service models require an adult caregiver present as an active participant in therapy for at least the last 10 minutes of every session. An important part of the family-centered model, adult caregivers are an integral part of building motivation and facilitating generalization and carryover of skills throughout the week.

Kelsey Brown SLP PLLC is private pay only at this time. Sessions may be paid via cash, check, or card and are due at the time of service. To get more information about whether your young person’s sessions may be eligible for reimbursement via your provided superbill, she has compiled a guide of questions to ask your insurance provider. Reach out for a guide at

  • Therapy session or evaluation in your home or preferred community space – $160 per hour (additional cost for travel outside of current service area)

  • Teletherapy session – $130 per hour

  • Training or professional development – $250 per hour (additional cost for travel outside of current service area)
