Chick-fil-A: From Humble Beginnings to Global Success:
Our journey continued with an inspiring visit to the corporate offices of Chick-fil-A, where we delved into the origins of this iconic brand. Learning about the company’s humble beginnings and understanding the principles that fueled its success provided a unique perspective on the power of vision, dedication, and customer-centric values. The Chick-fil-A experience reinforced the idea that even the smallest gestures and details contribute to building a lasting and impactful brand. We were reminded that if we do a good job supporting our Care Professionals, they will do a good job supporting their families. It’s all about excellent leadership!

David G. Salyers on Being Remarkable:
We closed out our Leadership Retreat on the third day with an engaging session led by David G. Salyers, who shared insights from his book “Remarkable!” Salyers shared his experience of creating a transformative culture in the workplace that inspires team members to engage in their work with passion and see their work as something they love to do! His perspective reminded us that we are not simply in the childcare business but are a Global Leadership Development Program, creating opportunities for the next generation to engage, learn, and grow as they serve children of all abilities. Our goal is to continue to create a culture at Apex Social that inspires and motivates Care Professionals to do what they love and love what they do!

In January, our Apex Care & Development team met in Atlanta for a three-day Leadership Retreat to foster continuous improvement, development, and connection. One of Apex Social’s five Core Competencies is the commitment to Living in a Growth Mindset – a dedication to continuous improvement, a thirst for learning, and a fearless attitude toward embracing challenges.

Insights from Horst Schulze – Co-founder of The Ritz Carlton Hotel Group:
We were honored to spend a morning learning from the legendary leader, Horst Schulze, the co-founder of The Ritz Carlton Hotel Group and author of the influential book “Excellence Wins.”
In 2021, Mr Schulze began his work with us by asking us what we do and why we do it. He has since profoundly impacted how we operate and who we attract to our global organization.

We all have a role to play, but we do not simply “go to work”. Instead we do everything with high intent and drive customer loyalty through delivering excellence and building relationships that matter. Horst has helped us empower our team, our care professionals, our partners, our families, and the children we serve. Our mission is good for all and is truly inspiring!
